Zhejiang Orient Tea Development Co. Ltd. (ZOTD Co.) is one of the biggest manufacturer of Green Tea Extracts and a leading supplier of Botanical Extracts in China. It also the biggest manufacturer of Tea Saponin and Camellia Oil in the world.
ZOTD Co. was set up by Tea Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences(CAAS) in 1989. Supported by Tea Chemical Engineer Key Laboratory of Agricultural Ministry, it is one of the national new high-tech enterprises that unite scientific study to industry and trade, and has made great achievement in development, manufacture and application of deep-refined tea and herb products. We have more than 150 staff members including 30 specialized technical personnel for 10 of them has gained the senior title of a technical or professional post and some well known professors in tea science and phytochemistry. Our research center posses a full set advanced test equipment to control the quality of products, such as HPLC, GC, HPTLC, UV-VIS, IR etc. We have an absolute advantage in personnel, technology, and equipment for participating in international market competition. Furthermore, with the first class experimental quality, the most stable and satisfactory varieties of products, and possesses the widest market. The main products we develop and produce are more than 200 varieties which include five series as Green Tea Extracts( polyphenols/catechins), Herb Extracts, Tea Saponin, Camellia Oil and other New Products, in which there are more than 1000 kinds of standardized botanical extracts. Our annual production capacity is about 180MT for Green Tea Extracts, 200MT for other Herb Extracts, 1000MT for Tea Saponin and 1500MT for Camellia Oil.
Our Tea Polyphenols gained the golden prizes in "1995 China Agricultural Exhibition", Camellia Oil gained the silver medal in "2001 China Agricultural Xihu Exhibition", Tea Saponin won the second grade National Technical Development Award.
Our products sold well on overseas market in Japan, USA, Canada, Europe, Korea and Southeastern Asia etc. The annul export volume is about US Dollar 10 millions.
